We would recommend checking out the Tutorial to learn the basics of Mortal Kombat X or brush up on your skills while you wait. On Xbox One and PS4 the installation process normally takes less than 30 minutes but can take up to 90 minutes depending on your system.
Some features, such as Local Multiplayer, Single Player regular matches, Training, and the Tutorial can be accessed while the game installs the Story and Online features. If the Online and Story mode options are Red when you start the game, this means the game is still installing.
